Gadugi (Working Together)

Events and activities:

ree

Here is your opportunity to learn the language of your ancestors in a relaxed, no-pressure, family environment. Comfortably paced, our community uses "Beginning Cherokee" by Ruth Bradley Holmes and Betty Sharp Smith, 2nd Edition, as a text (provided by the Cherokee Gadugi group with cover photo shown.)

Class is arranged in twenty-seven lessons with accompanying exercises. The lessons combine everyday vocabulary of words and phrases, gradual familiarity with Syllabary, and an introduction to verb-and-noun-building methods. Each lesson is a semi-independent teaching unit and is designed to be self-paced.

Our Cherokee Gadugi study group meets online and in-person and is only in the introductory chapters so your opportunity to join is while the group also begins.

If interested, let us know in the contact portion of this website, and Cherokee Gadugi Language Group will reach out and welcome you.
